increase reliability, accuracy, and efficiency
while reducing component count. Digital
control of Pyramid DSP is essential factor
guaranteeing high quality power protection under a wide
range of conditions.
DSP Controlled IGBT Inverter
Advanced DSP controlled IGBT inverter provides us high
quality output power, very low voltage total harmonic
distortion THDv which protect the connected loads. The
inverter control makes to Pyramid DSP to be suitable for
all ranges of loads required by the market.
Power factor Corrected IGBT Rectifier
Thanks to DSP controlled power factor corrected IGBT
rectifier provides us higher input power factor, lower input
current total harmonic distortion, wide input voltage and
frequency tolerance. . Inform Pyramid DSP Series provide
≥0.99 input power factor (PFi), and ≤ 4% input current total
harmonic distortion (THDi).
High power factor helps you to consume less reactive
power and pay lower electrical pay out. It provides
minimizations of cable cross-sections, associated
switchgear, transformer and generator sizing requirements.
Low input current THD avoids disturbance to other loads
connected upstream the power distribution bus and
interference reflected to the mains.
Intelligent Battery Charging
Considering the importance of the battery in a UPS system,
Pyramid DSP uses special technology to maximize the
battery lifetime. It provides – charging voltage control
according to temperature – protection against deep
discharge – protection against over current – very low
residual, ripple voltage – battery test with indication of
battery condition
Wide Input Voltage Tolerance
Pyramid DSP input voltage tolerance is between 138 to
485V and frequency tolerance is between 45 to 65Hz. This
provides to minimize transfer to battery, and reduce the
charging and discharging cycles. Wide input voltage and
frequency tolerances minimize battery usage and maximize
battery life.
Generator Friendly Operation
Increased input power factor and low harmonic distortion
of Pyramid DSP Series helps us to minimize back up
generator sizing requirements. UPS is designed to have
soft start up for generator operation. The current absorption
from the mains is increased gradually so generator is not
forced at the initial take over. Intelligent generator interface
stops the synchronization of the UPS output from a
generator supply in case generator operates out of limits.
Thanks to its small footprints, Pyramid DSP series allow
you to use less space at your applications.
Eventhough to its compact dimensions, PDSP Series is
able to have internal batteries for specific runtime.
COMMUNICATION AND REMOTE CONTROL
Pyramid DSP contains the following hardware interfaces: • RS232 serial port • RS422 serial port • Dry contacts,
• EPO (Emergency Power Off) • Generator interface contact.
Pyramid DSP Series provides complete range of solutions to communicate not only with the users or service personals,
but also with the computer systems themselves.
All the information on the
Pyramid DSP database status,
measurements, alarms, as well
commands is transmitted via
serial ports. Pyramid DSP
Software allows monitoring and
Management Facilities to the
user from many computers
having different operating
systems. The compatible
operating systems extend from
windows, novel, linux… to sun
solaris, apple and many others.
Pyramid DSP software
provides the monitoring of ups
status, ups parameters ( as
voltage, current, frequency,
load, temperature, battery
…etc ) and receives and
displays the auxiliary alarm
messages. Its management
capability provides the user to
send shut down signals, text
messages, e-mails, or perform battery tests. Event recorder
informs the user about the status of ups continuously.
Thanks to multi server shut down licenses; which can
operate an unlimited number of clients and automatically
shut down entire networks, distribute warning messages
in multiple languages, and execute any kind of remote
actions on most operating systems.
Pyramid DSP SNMP provides the connection to local
network where the monitoring and management is possible
through both software and web-browser. It makes all UPS
data and operating commands accessible through the
network. NETSERVICE helps us to connect to UPS via
internet, and monitor the UPS status. In case of any failure,
service center may take immediate action.

MAINTENANCE

In order to increase reliability; MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
is reduced by simple and fast maintenance, Pyramid DSP
contains;
- a software enabling maintenance engineers to connect
a computer to carry out diagnostics, and configuration of
the unit,
- special design, easily accessible components.
Eco-Mode
The Eco-Mode function allows cost-effective operation of
Pyramid DSP Series. In this operation mode, load is
supplied by the mains. In the event of a mains failure, the
inverter takes over the load and provides supply continuity
to the connected systems.
Cost Saving Operation
Pyramid DSP Series is designed to avoid harmonic feed
back caused by non-linear loads on the mains. Harmonic
feed back produced on the mains automatically corrected
by the Pyramid DSP. This operation guarantees cost-
effective operation in your business.
